On Deciding Which Course to Take in College
Dash and Renz, two 17-year-old students from TUP Manila, shared the reason why they chose to spend four years of their lives studying Graphic Arts and Printing Technology.
Deciding which course to take in college is perhaps one of the hardest decisions to make for students. It is your stepping stone to your chosen career, so you might as well be careful in filling out that registration form. But when we asked these two why they chose Graphic Arts and Printing Technology, we were rather surprised with their answers.
“Naastigan lang po ako sa pangalan. Dapat po talaga HRM. Ang layo ng narating ko. Naaangasan ako sa pangalan. Astig, eh.”
“May background po ako sa graphic arts, kasi gusto ko rin ng animation. Yun. High school pa lang, gumagawa na ako [ng animation].”
When we asked Dash and Renz if they’re happy with their course, here’s what they had to say:
“Hindi na po ako lilipat, kasi nagustuhan ko naman po yung ginagawa ko. Marami naman po akong nagustuhan.”
“Masaya naman po. Sa prof lang ‘yung hindi. ‘Yung prof kasi namin sa major, nakakamatay eh,.”
On why they were at Luneta:
“Hinihintay lang namin ‘yung kaibigan namin. Sabi po kasi nung kasama namin, 4 o’ clock. Tapos ‘di pa rin po siya dumarating. Di ko po alam [kung nasaan siya]. Na-traffic daw, kahit kakagising lang niya. Manggagaling pa ‘yun sa Fairview.”
We bid farewell to these two at around 5:30 PM. If they waited for their friend beyond that, we have no way of knowing.
